This TED Talk is really about how mankind’s view of animals has become the dominant factor in their survival or extinction. The prime example used is the [[Teddy Bear]], which turned a symbol of wilderness fears into something to hug, and even protect.

The lesson I gleaned from it was the idea that more and more of nature cannot survive on its own, the very epitome of the concept of domestication. I don’t know if we can be good caretakers, not even understanding climate and ecology as much more than theory, but we may have no choice.
