A somewhat humorous article from last week on the first 2012 presidential primary debate requires a tongue-in-cheek follow-up.

Is this appropriate in a serious blog?  Okay, let’s be serious.  This is part of a video series that pits characters, real and fictitious, against each other.  This particular one adds in a third party, Abraham Lincoln, to come in and “dis” both candidates.

It is a prime example of the growing dissatisfaction with the choices before us, and in a broader milieu, the two-party system.  With Internet media and it’s resulting audience for transparency, this is the first election, for example, that many, many people know either way the election goes, we will be electing Goldman Sachs.

And humor is often the best gauge of such a collective consciousness.
