This TED Talk by George Takei shows the most unlikely perseverance of faith in Democracy by citizens non grata, the Americans during WWII of Japanese descent.

Recently, I actually met a much older gentleman who defends to this day the choice for the US Government to mass intern people solely on the basis of not knowing if they would be a threat. I believe it imperative to examine why people believe such things, so that we can learn from our utterly human mistakes rather than relegate them to cold, academic, historical footnotes.
